This modern postcard features a reproduction of a work by American artist Edward Hopper ( 1882- 1967 ), titled The Lighthouse at two Lights and created in 1929.
The image shows the 120-foot-high lighthouse tower and adjoining Coast Guard station on a rocky promontory in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, where Hopper had vacationed during Summer since 1914.
