Margot Fonteyn & Rudolph Nureyev Postcard
Photographer Lord Snowdon
This black and white postcard is a reproduction of a photograph of world famous ballet dancers Margot Fonteyn and Rudolph Nureyev rehearsing for Marguerite and Armand and taken by Lord Snowdon in 1963.
As this was a piece choreographed specifically for Nureyev and Fonteyn, it was difficult for anybody to imagine anyone else in the title roles. The original image is in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery in London.
