This modern postcard features a photograph of a Side Chair designed by British ( born Scotland- 1868-1928) Architect and Designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The chair was created in 1897.
Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a Scottish architect, designer, and watercolourist. He was a designer in the Arts and Crafts movement and also the main exponent of Art Nouveau in the United Kingdom. He had a considerable influence on European design.Wikipedia
The chair is made out of silk and oak and is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art. A gift of the Glasgow School of Art.
