This limited edition 16 x 20 inch art print was made from the original negative under the direct supervision of the photographer Mr. Alfred Eisenstaedt (1898- 1995).
Renowned as the father of modern photojournalism, Alfred Eisenstaedt has had more of his photographs published than any other photographer in History. This spectacular image is by far his most famous. The image has been recognized as one of the Ten Greatest Images of Photojournalism. The image captures the essence of America and patriotism
To achieve quality of the highest standards and to assure maximum permanence this print received more than three hours of attention and handwork by skilled technicians at the TIME-LIFE Photography Lab. The paper selected by Mr. Eisenstaedt in this case is Kodak Polyfiber because of its pleasing surface texture and warm tones.
