This modern reproduction postcard features a photograph of influential American abstract expressionist artist Jackson Pollock (1912-1956). The famous painter is sitting on the running board of an old Ford model A.
Mr.Pollock was well known for his drip painting style and was a big contributor in the abstract expressionist movement. He had a volatile personality and died in an alcohol related single car accident in 1956.
The original image was taken by photographer Hans Namuth in 1951.
