This modern postcard features a black and white photograph portrait of then Senator, John F. Kennedy. The photograph was taken outside. Kennedy is shown in profile with photographers and the public in the background.
The image was taken in the state of Nebraska in 1959 during an early campaign trip. The photograph has become the most published image of John F Kennedy. It was used as the first campaign poster, the thirteen cent US stamp, and it finally became the image that graced President Kennedy's official funeral announcement.
The original image titled "Omaha Profile" was taken by photographer Jacques Lowe.
The postcard was published in Switzerland.
