This modern black and white postcard features a reproduction of a portrait photograph taken of Sergei Mikhailovich Eisenstein (1898-1948). Mr. Eisenstein was a Russian film director and editor. His film Ivan the Terrible, Part I won a Joseph Stalin award.
The original image was taken by photographer Man Ray in 1928.
Man Ray (born Emmanuel Radnitzky) (1890-1976) was an American renown best for his portrait and fashion photography.
