Frida Kahlo Postcard
Self-Portrait with Braid
This modern postcard is a copy of a self-portrait Frida Kahlo, the Mexican artist, painted with a large braid atop her head in 1941. She has used large green foliage as her only clothing and is wearing her typical style of a bold necklace in pewter tones. She was fond of braids, also known as plaits, and has this one wrapped in a beautiful rust colored scarf.
