This modern postcard depicts a self-portrait of Frida wearing a black lace head scarf as was customary with Catholics of that time. Her neck is adorned with a bold pre-Columbian necklace. In early 1940, the American engineer Sigmund Firestone commissioned a self-portrait from Frida.
