This modern reproduction postcard features great map of Wales by artist William Harvey (1796 - 1873). An image of Owen Glendower (Owain Glyn Dwr) a Welsh landowner who incited rebellion against the English in 1400 is incorporated into the map.

In 1869, writing under the pseudonym Aleph, William Harvey created an atlas titled Geographical Fun, Humorous Maps of Serious Countries. The map depicted here was one of 12 maps in the atlas. Each map was rendered as a stereotypical personage of the country.
